Introducing: Lab Draws
We're excited to share that you can now get your labs drawn right here at Marin Family Medicine.
We've hired a dedicated phlebotomist to make this possible, and there is a $30 draw fee to help cover that cost. This does not include the price of processing your labs, which will be billed to your insurance by Quest, the same as if you visited a normal Quest location.
How It Works
For now, lab draws are available every other Wednesday morning, and we expect to expand availability as the practice grows. Spots are available as 15-minute windows on a first-come, first-served basis. This service is currently available to Marin Family Medicine patients only.
A few things to know before you book:
Have a lab order ready. Labs need to be ordered before your appointment. If you're not sure whether you have one on file, send our staff a text message and we'll double check.
Upload your insurance information when booking. We pass your labs directly to Quest Diagnostics, who will process them through your insurance.
Cash-based lab pricing is now available for in-clinic draws! We use Rupa Health for cash-based pricing, which makes many common labs dramatically cheaper than traditional billing — many labs are only $5–10 each and it removes the risk of getting a large bill from insurance. Ask us for details, and we’d be happy to walk you through what your specific labs would cost.
